Tyler Technologies Wins Contract with Arlington, Texas to Provide Municipal Court Solution

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL - News) announced today that it has reached an agreement with the City of Arlington, Texas, to provide Tyler’s INCODE municipal court case management solution. The software contract is valued at nearly $2.5 million and includes software licenses as well as professional services, maintenance and support.

Under the agreement, the City of Arlington Municipal Court will employ Tyler’s INCODE Court Case Management, a highly customizable and integrated application for effective case management, document processing and cash/bond management. The City has also invested in additional applications such as Centralized Cash Collections, Report Writer, Secure Signatures and Forms Overlay to boost operational efficiencies. Tyler’s INCODE court solution is used by 425 municipal courts throughout Texas and 630 municipal court systems in 20 states.

Bob Byrd, deputy city manager for Arlington, believes the City’s investment in Tyler’s INCODE court solution will vastly improve the overall operations at its municipal court. “The INCODE system offers features that will enable Arlington’s municipal court to operate at a higher level of efficiency, speeding up the overall administration of justice. The solution facilitates the resolution of case management, and as a result, will improve customer service. It provides an effective means for police officer court scheduling and for processing warrants. It will also integrate with our financial system to reduce the need for additional data entry. The INCODE system’s functionality was preferred by all court partners—judiciary, court clerks, police and attorneys—as we worked through our requirements during the evaluation process,” he explained.

Tyler’s reputation as a leader in court solutions also factored into Arlington’s decision. “Tyler’s INCODE court solution has an excellent reputation among clients who have implemented the system. This solid standing includes a high level of commitment to quality service. Arlington officials visited existing Tyler clients and were impressed with the way the INCODE system worked. The solution was highly recommended by multiple references,” Byrd added.

Brett Cate, president of Tyler’s INCODE solutions, agrees. “Tyler’s INCODE court solution has earned an exceptional reputation for meeting the needs of municipal courts both large and small throughout the nation. It is user friendly and highly configurable, making it an excellent choice for the City of Arlington. In choosing a replacement for their current system, the City of Arlington performed an extensive review process, which ultimately resulted in the selection of Tyler’s INCODE solution. We’re pleased to welcome Arlington as the latest client to invest in our court solution and look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
