Foundation Software Announces New Menu Structure for FOUNDATION® For Windows®

Updated Design Increases User functionality, Improves Menu ‘Look and Feel’

July 13, 2007, Cleveland - For Immediate Release: Foundation Software, developer of award- winning FOUNDATION® for Windows® construction accounting, project management and scheduling software, has announced the design of a new and improved menu structure, which will be unveiled with the system’s upcoming release in August, 2007.

Featuring a cleaner dash-board style interface, FOUNDATION’s new menu structure was designed to make it even easier and faster for users to move throughout the system. Some of new menu design elements include:

A Customizable “Your Links” Menu. FOUNDATION users will now be able to create their own menu of commonly used screens, features and reports by dragging and dropping these items into a "Your Links" sidebar menu located on the left of their screen. This menu can store an unlimited number of favorites. In addition, the system remembers "your links" and will only bring up links related to the specific module or tool in which the user is currently working.

Elimination of Unnecessary Scrolling. The new menu structure was designed to minimize the amount of left-to-right and up-to-down scrolling required by a user in order to view the entire content of a screen.

Easier Navigation with Two Menu Levels. Users no longer need to drill down into multiple screens to perform a task. FOUNDATION’s new menu structure simplifies the process and reduces the mouse clicks required. Everything can be found within just two screen levels. The Main Menu screen lists all available system modules and tools. The second-level screen highlights all functions found within each specific module or tool.

Improved Look and Feel. The Main Menu screen and second-level screen now resemble a popular "dashboard” style similar to FOUNDATION’s CPA Audit/Review Module. This new look helps to expedite the learning process for new users, increases overall productivity, and maintains all system functionality in one easy-to-use and localized area.
According to Foundation Software CEO/Chairman Fred Ode, FOUNDATION’s new menu structure represents the company’s ongoing commitment to product improvement. “It’s just one of the reasons why we enjoy such long-term relationships with our clients,” Ode said.
