Tyler Technologies Signs Deal With Indiana County, PA to Provide MUNIS Financial Management Software

DALLAS, July 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL - News) announced today that it has reached an agreement with Indiana County, Pennsylvania, to provide its MUNIS financial management software solution. The deal, which includes products from the MUNIS financial, human resource and revenue suites, will enable the County to integrate information across all facets of its operations, replacing its limited DOS-based legacy system. In addition, Tyler will provide Indiana County with all associated professional services, as well as ongoing maintenance and support.

According to Indiana County Chairman, Rodney D. Ruddock, the decision to purchase Tyler's MUNIS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system was multifaceted. "Our objective was to secure an ERP vendor that had public sector experience and would be compatible with the County's future technological direction. Tyler and its MUNIS system fit these needs precisely.

"We sought to improve our reporting capabilities and to streamline our overall business practices -- the MUNIS system will give Indiana County the tools to accomplish these goals. Improving efficiency and working in a more cost-effective manner was our primary focus. The MUNIS system will empower the County to better serve its citizens," Ruddock stated.

Richard Peterson, Jr., president of Tyler's MUNIS Financial Management Solutions agrees. "Tyler's MUNIS ERP software solution was designed exclusively for the public sector. Years of experience in this one market give us unique insight into the specific needs of clients like Indiana County. The MUNIS system will facilitate the sharing of data across the agency, bringing greater efficiency to the County," he said.

Among the products selected by the County is Tyler Forms Processing. This versatile product will enable it to control where, how, and in what order it prints purchase orders, invoices, checks, and more. Tyler's Form Processing merges application data with electronic document templates, enabling users to print to their existing network printers, no matter where the hardware is physically located.

Patricia Evanko, Indiana County Commissioner, views the contract as an important technological step forward for the County. "As leaders for Indiana County, we understand the importance of bringing the County's technology into the 21st century-and doing so in the most cost-efficient manner possible. By investing in Tyler's MUNIS financial management software we are doing just that. Tyler's dedication to the constant advancement of its software and emerging solutions will meet our County's ever-growing needs. The MUNIS system will broaden and enhance our software system with new and up-to-date technology-now and in the future. As a result, we will become more efficient, save time and have the capability to integrate all our offices into one system," she explained.

Rich in history, Indiana County today has a population of approximately 89,000 and covers 829 square miles. Its scenic location among the Allegheny Mountains offers much to see and do. The borough of Indiana serves as the county seat.
