PETERSBURG, Fla. - May 30, 2006 - Sage Software announced today that the Seattle Mariners Major League Baseball (MLB) team is saving time and money using fully integrated Sage Software human resource (HR) and payroll solutions. The Mariners’ employee count increases from approximately 300 employees during the off-season, to as many as 1,600 employees throughout baseball season. Using Abra Payroll, the Mariners can create special payroll runs, evaluate data, reconcile payrolls and quarter-ends with online analysis, generate cost accounting and labor distribution reports, secure sensitive payroll information, and prepare payroll taxes, and COS enables them to comply with complex federal and state tax regulations.
