Deluxe Cause-Related Check Program Approaches $7 Million Milestone

Consumers Continue to Support Worthy Causes by Writing Checks

ST. PAUL, Minn., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Deluxe Financial Services today announced its cause-related check program has raised nearly $7 million for a variety of worthwhile organizations. The program gives consumers a unique opportunity to express their personality while supporting causes that are important and meaningful to them.

"Our cause-related check program allows consumers to support organizations that are close to their hearts," said Chuck Feltz, president of Deluxe Financial Services. "Deluxe places utmost importance on customer satisfaction, and we feel it is our responsibility and privilege to help consumers make a difference every time they write a check."

Deluxe contributes a portion of the proceeds from the sale of checks with specific cause-related designs directly to the organizations featured on the checks. For example, Deluxe has raised more than $530,000 to aid the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's fight against breast cancer through its Checks for the Cure(TM) package introduced in early 2000.

Deluxe has contributed to many other cause-related organizations since the program was introduced in 1995. Noteworthy beneficiaries include the Wyland Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting oceans and marine life, and the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the NOVA® package goes to support Public Television, and significant contributions have been made to organizations supporting the victims of 9/11.

Deluxe's cause-related check program was first introduced in 1995 and has grown to include a variety of different causes. The program now nets over $1 million annually for these groups.
