MARKHAM, ON, and SOUTHBOROUGH, MA, April 22 /CNW/ - Geac(R) (TSX: GAC, NASDAQ: GEAC) customers from around the world will share their business performance success stories at ALLIANCE2005, Geac's annual users' conference being held this year in Orlando, Florida, May 8-11. More than 50 conference sessions will be led by Geac customers, including AstraZeneca; BDO Seidman, LLP; Gordon Food Service; and Lee Memorial Health System. Deriving More Value from Technology Investments

Gordon Food Service will discuss how the company uses Geac MPC to re- engineer its budgeting and reporting process to maximize the value of information delivered to business leaders and decision makers.

Showcasing Business Process Management, Florida-based Lee Memorial Health System will demonstrate how software-enabled changes to its business processes in Human Resources, Patient Scheduling and Purchasing yielded significant returns.

The Irvine Company, a Geac Commercial Systems Division (CSD) customer, will share its experience with enhanced reporting in eSite, a Web-based residential site operations and management solution, and will showcase the eSite reports that have improved decision-making.

Tying Strategy to Execution

In a session entitled "From Measuring to Managing," major accounting firm BDO Seidman, LLP will speak about the ways in which Geac Business Performance Management closes the gap between strategic planning and effective execution.

Eliminating Delinquencies in Managing Expenses

AstraZeneca will present its case for driving down delinquencies and monitoring credit card transactions with Geac Expense Management.

Sarbanes-Oxley

In a joint session, A. Schulman and The Gerstenslager Company will lead a discussion with System21 customers around meeting the requirements of security, auditing and financial reporting to ensure the accuracy and predictability of business processes.

Also speaking at ALLIANCE2005, former General Electric Company CEO Jack Welch will participate in a moderated question-and-answer session. Mr. Welch will draw upon his vast knowledge and experiences in the corporate world, as well as touch upon topics addressed in his new book, Winning. In addition to Mr. Welch, ALLIANCE2005 attendees will hear presentations from Geac President and CEO Charles Jones and Tim Wright, Geac's Chief Technology Officer.
