TSX Accepts Geac's Notice of Intention to Make a Normal Course Issuer Bid
MARKHAM, ON, Aug. 18 /CNW/ - Geac Computer Corporation Limited ("Geac") (TSX: GAC and NASDAQ: GEAC), a global enterprise software company for Business Performance Management, today announced acceptance by the Toronto Stock Exchange (the "TSX") of Geac's Notice of Intention to make a Normal Course Issuer Bid (the "NCIB"). Pursuant to the NCIB, Geac proposes to purchase, from time to time, if it is considered advisable, up to 8,335,346 Common Shares of Geac, being approximately 9.75% of its 85,458,927 issued and outstanding Common Shares as of the date hereof, on the TSX commencing August 20, 2004. The Board of Directors of Geac believes that such purchases are in the best interests of Geac and are a desirable use of corporate funds. All Common Shares purchased by Geac pursuant to the NCIB will be cancelled. The NCIB will expire on August 19, 2005. About Geac
