Simply Accounting Increases Canadian Market Share Lead

(NYSE: CA - News), announced today that its Simply Accounting(R) product has increased its market leading position over rivals Intuit(R) QuickBooks(R) and MYOB(R) in the Canadian market, gaining an additional 5 market share points to capture 57% share of units sold in 2003(1).

According to ACNielsen(R) Canada data, total market dollars for entry-level small business accounting software grew by 8% in calendar 2003. During this time, Simply Accounting grew its dollar and unit share more than two times faster than any other competitor, including both QuickBooks and MYOB. ACNielsen tracks sales of these products through major software retailers, the primary source for small business accounting software in Canada. Simply Accounting has been the number one selling small business accounting software in Canada for over a decade.
