Microsoft® Empower Program Partner Foundation Software Releases Server Console 2003

As a participant in the Microsoft® Empower Program for ISVs, Foundation Software continues to produce and enhance applications for the construction industry that support an assortment of Microsoft products.

Server Console 2003 provides FOUNDATION® for Windows® users with advanced SQL database management functionality, enabling them to improve the security and maintenance of their database.

For example, in FOUNDATION for Windows the accounting data is stored in a Microsoft SQL Server database (Figure 1-A). This database connects to the FOUNDATION for Windows accounting application through the use of Microsoft’s MSDE database engine (which is fully scalable). Foundation’s Server Console 2003 provides the user with important database management utilities not available in Microsoft’s MSDE version. These tools make it easier for the user to work with their database, simplifying functions such as checking for data corruption, disconnecting or copying databases and setting up user accounts and passwords.
