MYOB empowers accountants with interactive website service

ClientConnect - a service that allows accountants to set up a website and liaise with clients online through a personal and secure webspace.

MYOB Australia General Manager, Andrew Fiori-Dea said that MYOB ClientConnect was developed to help accountants promote their practice and deal with clients more efficiently.

"We found that while the majority of accountants had registered a domain name for their practice, only 10 percent had launched a website due to technology and time constraints," Mr Fiori-Dea said. "MYOB ClientConnect gives accountants a public website that is easy to set-up and maintain."

With MYOB ClientConnect, accountants do not need any web development or design skills to launch or update their website.

Clients can log on to a personal webspace on their accountant's website to access a range of information including tax returns, financial statements, business analysis reports, and practice correspondence.

"Most accountants are reluctant to charge clients for sending out previous tax returns or locating their tax file number, as these are not seen as value-adding services," Mr Fiori-Dea said.

"Not only does MYOB ClientConnect minimise these non-billable activities, it allows accountants to enhance their client relationships by offering useful business advice and information online," he said.

MYOB ClientConnect is fully integrated with MYOB Accountants Office practice management software, used by thousands of accounting practices across Australia.

"The launch of MYOB ClientConnect is the next step in MYOB's strategy of making it easier for accountants and their small business clients to work together," Mr Fiori-Dea said.

Earlier this year, MYOB launched a fee payment and processing service for accountants, enabling them to offer BPAY ® and Credit Card by Phone payment options on their invoices and automate payment processing.
