January 7, 2003 – Lincoln, NE – Software Technology, Inc. (STI), a leading provider of time billing and practice management software for professional service firms, announced today the appointment of Scott Baird as Director of Marketing. Baird, former senior marketing manager of Intuit Inc., will spearhead STI’s marketing and business development efforts to capitalize on growth opportunities in the billing and practice management software market.

During his four years with Intuit, Baird established new businesses, served as a company spokesman and won the 2002 Scott Cook Innovation Award. Baird’s work included the development of two multi-million dollar businesses: QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions and QuickBooks Merchant Account Service; and the creation of the new QuickBooks Premier: Nonprofit Edition.
Baird holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Prior to graduate school, he was a marketing and communications employee at Habitat for Humanity’s international headquarters in Americus, Georgia.
