(STI), a leading provider of time billing and practice management software for professional service firms, announced today that PracticeMaster now integrates with Microsoft Outlook® calendar and email programs. This powerful two-way integration allows for the automatic transfer of PracticeMaster calendar entries to Outlook. In addition, a full synchronization process pulls Outlook calendar entries into PracticeMaster. This combination creates a new level of calendar and schedule tracking options for accountants wishing to automate with PracticeMaster, yet still use Outlook for their calendar interface. When a calendar record that is linked to multiple users is changed or deleted in Outlook, users will be given the option of changing or deleting the calendar record in PracticeMaster. System administrators can control which users perform synchronizations and which settings are used. A confirmation window lets users see exactly which entries will be synchronized before proceeding with the process, ultimately safeguarding against having a record unknowingly deleted in PracticeMaster because it was deleted in Outlook. In addition, businesses using Microsoft Exchange, can add, change or delete calendar records for other PracticeMaster users, and have those changes sent to their Outlook Calendars. Any calendar records added, changed or deleted in Outlook by other users can also be synchronized back to PracticeMaster. “The combination of PracticeMaster and Outlook’s calendar program provides the familiarity of Outlook with the additional power of PracticeMaster’s personal, client and contact calendaring,” said Dan Berlin, President of STI. “We took the integration a step further for accountants and businesses using Microsoft Exchange.
