PowerCerv and VARnet Sign OEM Agreement

- VARnet provides Integrated Enterprise Response to companies across Spain -

TAMPA, Fla. - PowerCerv Corporation (Nasdaq: PCRV) today announced that it signed a new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreement with VARnet, a leading IT business solutions consulting firm headquartered in Madrid, Spain. According to the agreement VARnet will resell the PowerCerv ERP Plus? suite of integrated e-business, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications to companies throughout Spain.

In evaluating potential partners, VARnet representatives examined three primary qualifications: strong product design and functionality, the ability to set their own pricing, and the ability to easily customize the software solutions.

"We chose PowerCerv's ERP Plus solution because the company and the software provided the services and solutions we desired," said Miguel Sanchez Miguel, technical and business development director with VARnet. "We were looking for a system that was strong and allowed us to customize as needed. After evaluating many solutions, we selected ERP Plus."

According to the agreement, VARnet will translate ERP Plus from English to Spanish, and VARnet will adapt the business functionality within ERP Plus to meet the financial, taxation and reporting needs of Spanish companies. Business conversion efforts will also include full Euro translation and calculation.

PowerCerv will assist VARnet in developing marketing strategies designed to promote ERP Plus to companies throughout Spain. VARnet will begin marketing the solution in Madrid and expand their marketing efforts to include the entire country.
