Lawson Cloverleaf Integration Suite Selected by Yale New Haven Health System

Connecticut-based care system sought integration engine to help streamline flow of patient and administrative data through multiple systems

ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Lawson Software (Nasdaq:LWSN - News) today announced it has signed a contract with Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) to implement the Lawson Cloverleaf Integration Suite. Lawson Cloverleaf is a healthcare integration engine that helps facilitate the movement of data through disparate systems within and outside of a healthcare enterprise. YNHHS is an existing Lawson customer using Lawson Human Resource Management, Supply Chain Management, Financials, and Lawson Business Intelligence. The contract to add Lawson Cloverleaf was signed during the first quarter of Lawson’s 2011 fiscal year, which ended Aug. 31, 2010.

YNHHS provides comprehensive, cost effective, advanced patient care characterized by safety and quality service. Through its affiliation with Yale School of Medicine, the health system also educates health professionals and advances clinical care. YNHHS has more than 12,000 employees, including more than 3,600 medical staff. It has more than 1,500 beds system-wide.

As the health system prepares to implement a new clinical system, it needed an integration engine that could help connect and leverage multiple disparate legacy information systems with its new clinical system. YNHHS chose the Lawson Cloverleaf solution based on references from other healthcare providers and the organization’s own experience working with Lawson.

The Lawson Cloverleaf Integration Suite is used in thousands of healthcare facilities, including 40 percent of all large integrated delivery networks and approximately one-third of all hospitals in North America. It helps hospitals and healthcare organizations share clinical, financial and administrative data with greater ease and security. The suite allows hospitals to simplify development of interfaces between hospital applications, databases and external systems through an intuitive user interface. By helping to streamline the flow of data through multiple systems, Cloverleaf helps improve efficiency and helps hospitals respond faster to clinical and regulatory changes in the industry.
