Arrow ECS To Distribute IBM Power Systems in UK

HARROGATE, U.K.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. [NYSE: ARW], announced that it has been appointed as a distributor of IBM’s Power with AIX Systems products by IBM United Kingdom Limited, effective from 1 Oct.

IBM’s Power Systems product portfolio includes POWER7-based hardware products with AIX and Linux operating systems. Arrow ECS already distributes IBM’s storage products in the U.K. including the IBM XIV next generation open-system arrays. Combining IBM’s storage products and Power with AIX Systems enables Arrow ECS to offer high-performing and highly efficient infrastructure solutions based on IBM hardware and software primarily in the U.K.
