Oracle to buy Virtual Iron for Undisclosed Sum
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. (AP) -- Oracle Corp. said Wednesday it has agreed to by Virtual Iron Software Inc. for an undisclosed sum.
The privately held Lowell, Mass. company makes virtualization software, which increases data center capacity.
Oracle, which expects the deal to close this summer, agreed last month to buy server and software maker Sun Microsystems for $7.4 billion in cash.
The company's shares fell 19 cents to $18.19 in morning trading.
