Jabil AMS is a division of Jabil Inc, which provides electronic design, manufacturing and repair services to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Since implementing the PRECISION solution, Jabil AMS has seen a significant reduction in the processing time per shipment, enabling them to control costs during high growth and resulting in a go-forward annual savings of $1.8 million in shipment processing costs.

Jabil AMS was faced with the challenge of becoming more responsive, adaptive and accountable to their OEM customers’ needs to ship to end consumers around the world via a variety of small parcel carriers. They needed a single, global transportation system that could flexibly support their growing domestic and international business while keeping up with existing and new customer programs.

Jabil chose Precision Software because of the agility and flexibility of PRECISION Parcel Shipping, which allowed for the solution to be centrally located, globally deployed in a rapid timeframe, and easily integrated with their existing enterprise software and warehouse management solutions. The company saw an almost immediate return on investment when processing time per shipment dropped from 90 seconds on average to 10 seconds per shipment. Additionally as their business grew, the savings have also continued to increase to a current level of approximately $7,000 per day.
