Orlando Health Selects TECSYS For Its IDN

TECSYS Wins Fourth Major Hospital Supply Chain In The Last Ten Months

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 3, 2008) - TECSYS Inc. (TSX:TCS - News), an industry-leading supply chain management software company announced today that Orlando Health, a 1.5 billion dollar not-for-profit healthcare organization, has selected TECSYS' warehouse and distribution management solutions to enable its recently adopted self-distribution model, empowering them to squeeze cost out of their supply chain operations and help them improve service to patients.

As Central Florida's 5th largest employer, Orlando Health's network consists of nine hospitals and care centers in the Greater Orlando area. The organization employs some 14,000 people and is affiliated with more than 2000 physicians, all of whom support the organization's philosophy of providing high quality care and service to over 100,000 inpatients and 600,000 outpatients each year.

Rick Schooler, Vice President & CIO of Orlando Health stated: "Orlando Health is pleased with our decision to implement a new warehouse and distribution management system from TECSYS. We have high expectations regarding its ability to automate core workflows while providing vital operations analysis and reporting capabilities. Our supply chain management and team members look forward to complete integration of the TECSYS product into their daily functions. In brief, TECSYS will be the foundation on which we build a successful Consolidated Service Center that meets the needs of our complex and demanding healthcare organization."

Following its continued commitment for the latest technology, Orlando Health selected TECSYS' warehouse and distribution management solutions for healthcare to enable them to efficiently manage all hospital supplies as well as movement of all inventory at their new distribution center in Orlando, Florida. TECSYS' software will be deployed to provide just-in-time delivery of vital products and supplies to support its significant healthcare service operations at hospitals and medical centres across the region. The TECSYS software will also be interfaced to the hospital management and patient information systems including Lawson software financial system, allowing full visibility of all the organization's supply chain operations across all locations, eliminating double entry of data and empowering their logistics management to be accurate, efficient and proactive.

Peter Brereton, President and CEO of TECSYS stated: "With hospitals becoming increasingly cognizant of costs and the need to manage critical supplies to healthcare professionals, self-distribution has become a growing trend in healthcare. It is also becoming more widely adopted as hospitals have embraced the concept due to the fact that it has met enough success and has delivered real tangible and intangible benefits for hospital supply chain networks. With over 200 IDNs in the U.S., we are at the infancy of an adoption trend where TECSYS plays a market leading role today."
