In order to show the Order Date on the invoice, you will have to create a custom field in your invoice template. You can name this field ORDER DATE. However, when you actually convert the sales order to an invoice, you should make a note of the Order Date so you can enter the date into the custom field you created on your invoice. (It will not automatically transfer the order date to this field for you, so you must manually enter this date.)
