It's a major step forward--the most significant MAS release since they published their Windows version in '96.
Their are major usability improvements, including saved report settings, improved data file structure, greatly enhanced application of user-defined fields, etc.
Remember though that Best Software is upgrading in increments, by which I mean that the version 4.00 which started shipping to existing customers last week includes updates to only the Library Master (System Setup) General Ledger and Customizer modules. The next phase (4.1x) is tentatively scheduled to bring the Accounts Receivable and Sales Order Modules up to the 4.xx standards and won't be out for another 1-1.5 years. After that (4.2x) I believe they plan to upgrade Accounts Payable/Purchase Order/Inventory, etc.
