If you were able to export the payroll item list from the original file, gnerally, it should import into the new file. If the some items were damaged in the payroll item list, the entire list may not be available. You can create an *.iif file in Excel by formatting exactly the same as QuickBooks creates *.iif files. This option is beyond most users skills. The most expedient way to proceed however is to manually reenter the payroll item list. If your payroll item list is large, I would question why so much detail is needed. Thanks, James Abels,ea,cb
