Hi Craig, It seems a lot of companies are moving to a more simplifies environment, and that is good thing. To answer your question, a conversion on this scale, depending on the number of transactions, etc. would run between $5,000 - $9,000 depending if they just want totals or all the supporting transactions for the last 5 years. Grabbing data from reports would be a good way to go, but there is the option of using MS-Access, through an ODBC connection, to pull the transactions directly from the tables. Without looking at the data, it is difficult to determine the best course of actions. With regard to interfacing with ADP, if they are interesting in importing the General Ledger transactions or individual Payroll Checks into QuickBooks, I would recommend going to http://www.ptebridge.com. They have a interface to move this data into QuickBooks without retyping the information. Hope that helps and feel free to email me if you have more questions or would like to discuss this in more detail.
