The file with a .QBW extention is the QuickBooks data file. There should be a file of the same name with a .QBI extention that is used by QuickBooks in the event of a crash to roll back the file to a good state. The QBI file should dissappear when the QBW file is closed, unless you crash. A file with a .QBA extention is an accountants copy. A .QWA extention is not QuickBooks.
