It really helps with data exchange. You can always do native ODBC data exchange, but you run the risk of not getting the validation rules correct. MAS200 does a pretty good job of being truly relational, and there are only a few foreign key issues. If you go this route, you definitely want to review the TRSG to learn about the database structure (TRSG comes with MAS200) and you might want to think about enrolling in a database class to learn the nuance of the MAS200 product structure. If you are comfortable with database tachnology, you should be able to teach yourself, but of course don't run your lessons against your production data!
