To fix the error. Close peachtree. Delete all the *.lck files (locks) in the peachtree data folder (ie c:\peachw\CompanyName\*.lck) Then change your config.sys or config.nt file to files=199 You are running out of files in your windows environment. Hope that helps. --Paolo
