Accpac Plus (DOS) is written in a proprietary code. While it may be possible to do what you are trying to do with the DOS product, I don't suggest it. Instead, I recommend the client consider the upgrade from Accpac DOS to the Sage Accpac ERP program. For more information, you can check www.sageaccpac.com or my website www.paradimeinc.com. I have done hundreds of these upgrades and while there is some degree of a learning curve, the benefits in todays IT world are always worth it.
Adagio is a product that will "fit over" the DOS program and give it a "Windows" UI. The move to Adagio requires little or no data conversion. Also, I understand that Adagio has begun to move away from the old ACCPAC DOS code and is adding new features to the original code through use of their own programs. I have known the folks at Softrak for years, especially the owner Andrew Bates, and they are very reputable.
