I would agree that you should think it over before purchasing. We switched from Business Works about 2 years ago and it was a nightmare getting it up and running effectively. It cost way more in consulting fees that we were originally quoted and we got nearly constant error messages for the first year. Because the consultants charge you hourly regardless of whether the software is flawed or not, the costs really rack up fast. Plus when you add in the annual maintenance fees and the support contract (not worth the $$ by the way because Best is of little help) it gets to be very expensive. And if you want any sort of customized reporting (the canned reports in Mas are not that good) then you better take the 2 day Crystal class or be prepared to pay a consultant hourly to design your reports. Plus, it is not always easy to install pacthes and updates. Sometimes it is so complicated you have to call in a consultant which is more $$. Plus any customization you had previously paid for is wiped out and you have to pay a consultant again to redo it. After 2 years my satisfaction level is a lot better but I still think you do not get a lot of bang for the buck. If you have a strong IT dept or a very computer saavy accountant, then you might want to consider, but otherwise I would go in a different direction. If you do decide to go with MAS, I would forgo the support contract with Best and see if you can get one with a consultant;they tend to solve the problems faster than the phone support and the online content at Best's site is voluminous and mostly unhelpful. Good luck in your search
