My problem occured when a power surge knocked the network down...when it came back up i couldn't get into my Last Sales order...
I tried to run the fix utilitie on it which always was able to fix the problem in the past... but this time when i would select the file to be repaired it would tell me that another utility was allready accessing it..
there were no other computer running over the network or any other program that i knew of that would be accessing it..
I tried to use a workstation to access the file and repair it and i would get the same error.
I looked into the task manager and there wasn't anything running in there that shouldnt be running in there...
eventually i closed mas 90 and renamed the folder
i had an original copy of the installation on the drive and i renamed it to mas 90...after that i copied all the database folders over from the original directory to the new directory.. after loading the "new" mas 90 i was able to run the fix option and get back into sales...
If anyone knows how this might have happend please let me know and what exactly was going on and what i might be able to do in the future...
P.s after loading the other mas 90 the printer started acting up and didnt want to let me change the "font" on the machine when it would start printing...
after eliminating every possiblity i finnaly came to the preference tab and you can select fonts there...
aparently mas 90 takes total control of the printer hardware and won't let you change any options on it when it has started to print...
I don't know if im right about this.. just fishing arround for ideas and suggestions...
Anyway...it's all up and running...
