Tyler Technologies awarded 2 contracts in VirginiaDallas Business Journal

Tyler Technologies Inc. has signed contracts to provide software and services to two school districts in Virginia.

The Charlottesville City Public Schools and Culpeper County Public Schools will each implement a comprehensive suite of products from Tyler's school information systems, the Dallas-based company said.

Tyler (NYSE: TYL) will provide both school systems with associated professional services, support and maintenance, in addition to software. The contracts bring the total number of districts in Virginia that have used Tyler's software and services to five.

Culpeper County Public Schools has about 7,400 students at eight schools. The district expects to open two additional schools in fall 2008. The district employs 1,063 staff, including 535 teachers.

Charlottesville City Schools has 4,069 students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12 at nine schools. The district employs 428 teachers.
