Accelstream to Expand Social Media Capabilities to Kintera Event Clients

Accelstream Joins Kintera Connect Partner Program

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kintera® Inc. (NASDAQ:KNTA - News) today announced that Accelstream, an online social media provider, has joined the Kintera Connect partner program to integrate enhanced online social media functionality into Friends Asking Friends® Kintera Thon, the nonprofit industry’s leading online events fundraising software.

As a Kintera Connect partner, Accelstream will be able to integrate a collection of rich media functionality including video messages, user-generated content, and animated progress reporting into Kintera’s technology platform. The application will enable nonprofit organizations using Kintera to bolster their online presence and increase the fundraising potential of event participants.

Using Kintera Connect, Accelstream will add Web 2.0 capabilities to Friends Asking Friends Kintera Thon enabling organizations and event participants to easily upload, send, and share personal videos to contacts as a means of effectively communicating fundraising needs. Nonprofits will be able to use the social media tools while maintaining the functionality and donation processing provided by Kintera’s software platform.

Additionally, as an ASP provider, Kintera’s multi-tenant architecture enables all clients and applications to share one centrally maintained common infrastructure and code base. The multi-tenant architecture creates a distinct boundary between Kintera's open platform and the applications that run on it. Because Kintera also provides consistent APIs, partners can develop an integrated application once and offer it repeatedly to other clients.
