Sage Software’s Sage FAS Solutions Help Hundreds of Nonprofit, Government, and School Organizations Effectively Manage Their Fixed Assets
HERNDON, Va. - November 1, 2006 - Sage Software announced today that hundreds of nonprofit, government, and school organizations have chosen its Sage FAS Gov and Sage FAS Nonprofit solutions to more easily manage their fixed assets. To date, more than 700 nonprofits and state/local government agencies and municipalities count on Sage FAS products to track, inventory, depreciate, and report on their various fixed assets, from buildings and computer equipment, to automobiles and sprinkler systems. Beginning this week, Sage Software will ship version 2006.1 of the product lines, featuring various ease-of-use enhancements.
“Besides being user-friendly and easy to navigate, Sage FAS Gov helps us more accurately track our fixed assets, and has improved our reporting processes,” said Lynne Koski, dean of administrative services for Norfolk, Neb.-based Northeast Community College. “We previously used an in-house software program to manage our nearly 10,000 active fixed assets.”
Monica Gargus, controller for Boys and Girls Town of Missouri, a nationally accredited organization providing extensive treatment through various programs for troubled youth with a history of abuse, neglect, severe behavior disorders and psychological problems, said, “Our accounting software vendor does not offer a fixed asset management solution, so we implemented Sage FAS Nonprofit to help us accurately track and report on our 2,000 assets. Barbara Kivlin, director of finance for Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, a provider of civil legal aid to the low-income community in North & West Texas for more than 50 years, said, “We recently purchased Sage FAS Nonprofit to replace an Access database that currently serves as our fixed asset management system. Since we use Sage Abra HRMS to manage our HR processes, we already have experience with Sage Software. We expect Sage FAS to save us time as it simplifies the process of tracking, transferring and disposing of our 10,000 assets.”
