Users' Conference Draws Customers From Around the World
Conference attendance rockets. Attendees praise Wind2 Software for providing tools and information critical to the success of project-driven service firms.
Fort Collins, CO, July 26, 2005 - Today Wind2 Software announced an 80% increase in attendance for their 5th annual users’ conference, held this year in New Orleans, LA. Based on conference evaluations, company leaders tie the record attendance to the addition of sessions focused on client success. Customers from the United States, Canada, and Australia voiced enthusiasm for the users’ conference and cited it as further proof of the company’s on-going commitment to customer service and support.
“Our customer community includes nearly 3,000 professional services firms in the USA alone,” says David W. Marvin, president and CEO of Wind2 Software. “We always have great attendance, but this conference exceeded all expectations.”
According to Marvin, customers have long praised Wind2 for its service and product support. Evaluations from the 2005 users’ conference, however, expressed added appreciation for programs and information that demonstrated Wind2’s commitment to the financial success of their customer companies.
“It was an amazing three days,” says Nancy McGregor, Controller for Lyman Davidson Dooley, an architectural firm and Wind2 customer for 14 years. “The sessions provided valuable information, and I was able to learn from other users who were experiencing similar time and business management challenges.”
This year’s conference theme, “Positive Difference 2005,” highlighted Wind2’s determination to make a decisive contribution to the bottom-line success of every customer company. In addition to providing beginning and advanced instruction on Wind2 Software products, the company hosted numerous sessions where Wind2 experts and outside industry consultants addressed topics of prime importance to all project-driven businesses.
Among the industry consultants on the program, strategic planning expert John Pruitt, President and Founder of A/E Consulting Services, gave participants a systematic approach for determining the value of a professional services firm. He pointed out that reliable financial information (e.g., job cost reports, productivity reports, and financial statements) actually adds to the value of a firm. Additionally, Molly Gimmel, Executive Vice President of Design to Deliver, highlighted marketing and communication methods designed to win contracts from the federal government.
Planning is already underway for the next Wind2 customer conference tentatively planned for October of 2006 in San Diego, CA.
