Dexter + Chaney's Forefront Earns 2005 'Editors Choice' Award From Contractor Magazine
Fourth in a series of honors earned in 2005
SEATTLE, February 17, 2006: Dexter + Chaney has earned another honor for its Forefront® Construction Management Software—the fourth in a series of awards earned by the company and Forefront in 2005. Contractor magazine bestowed a 2005 Editors Choice Award on Forefront Version 12—the only software product chosen by the publication’s editors for that designation.
“We look for products for the Editors Choice Award that are innovative and would be of interest to our target audience—the owners and upper management of mechanical contracting firms,” said Bob Miodonski, Contractor’s publisher and editorial director. The magazine (www.contractormag.com), published by Penton Media, announced its Editors Choice and Readers Choice awards in its December 2005 issue.
Forefront Version 12 offers hundreds of new features, including a SQL database structure, the ability to track meeting minutes within Project Management, and a Web Portal that gives a construction company’s employees and customers access to critical data and functions in Forefront from any computer with an Internet connection. Version 12 also integrates Forefront with Microsoft Outlook.
The Contractor honor is the latest in a series of recent accolades for Dexter + Chaney and Forefront. Others include a first-place INNOVATION Award from Electrical Contracting Products (a competition that “recognizes outstanding companies whose products or services have best responded to the $82 billion electrical contracting market’s challenges by offering creative and innovative ideas”), Deloitte’s “Fast 50” program for Washington state (a ranking of the state’s 50 fastest-growing technology companies based on revenue growth over a five-year period), and “Software 500,” Software Magazine’s listing of the world’s largest software and service providers by revenues.
