CYMA Develops Grant Tracking Software for New Grant Reporting Standard
CYMA is now shipping a grant tracking system embedded within the latest version of their award winning not-for-profit accounting software, CYMA IV Version 8. This Grant Tracking System enables non-profit organizations to track grant related expenditures in a variety of ways.
Many not-for-profit (NFP) organizations are funded at least in part by government and private sector grants. The National Association of State Auditors, Treasurers and Controllers (NASACT), in conjunction with many leading federal and state organizations involved in grant funding, has recently published a proposed standard for the use of data elements in grant reporting. This standard calls for non-profit organizations to track the grant identifier, funding source, funding source type, core object expense (salary, travel, etc.), program and activity for grant related expenses.
The CYMA Grant Tracking System was specifically designed around this new specification, ensuring their non-profit customers that the CYMA Grant Tracking System can accommodate the latest in federal, state and private funding source demands.
An optional component of the General Ledger module, the Grant Tracking System allows additional functionality throughout the CYMA IV Not-For-Profit system. It provides for General Ledger account number independence and tracks grant, expense type, funding source, program and activity information/reporting.
