Data-Basics Brings Innovative Features and Improved Usability to Service Management Businesses with SAM Pro Enterprise Version 6.1

Latest Version Includes Features to Further Automate Workflow

CLEVELAND, Ohio--Looking to keep in-step with the demands of service, construction and facilities maintenance firms, Data-Basics unveiled version 6.1 of its signature SAM Pro Enterprise software suite. Data-Basics has begun rolling out version 6.1, which further enables companies to improve their business performance, for its current clients.

SAM Pro Enterprise now offers a number of new proactive management capabilities that include:

PROJECT MANAGER WORKBENCH
To help managers get better a handle on billing, reporting and job progress, a new Project Manager Workbench has been rolled out with version 6.1. The Project Manager Workbench tracks costs and billing for complex or lengthy jobs -- providing project managers with an easy way to analyze revenues and profits, access records and run reports.

EASY ROLLING REPORTING
ReportAnywhere -- the SAM Pro component for delivering information whenever and wherever it's needed -- now supports relative dates for report scheduling, which gives users the ability to set report dates relative to the run date of the report. This allows for easy "rolling reporting" on financials that puts greater flexibility and power at the fingertips of project managers, controllers and service managers.

IMPROVED WORK ORDER FEATURES
Version 6.1 also includes a number of features geared towards work orders. For example, the ability to make revenue adjustments provides greater flexibility to show prices, customer discounts and management fees on work orders. This release also adds sliding markup capabilities to other rate calculations, providing users with a way to set up multiple rates, in increasing levels, at specified percentage mark-ups. In addition, the Work Order Viewer has been updated with proactive features to aid in automatically capturing sales and service information during the completion of a work order. Finally, the New Call Viewer has been enhanced through the addition of auto-default charges. For instance, additional fees – like a trip charge – may be automatically added to a work order at the time of creation.

DROP SHIP WIZARD
When a client orders and item that is not in stock, one solution is to have the item drop shipped from your vendor directly to that customer. With version 6.1, users will now be able to step through the Drop Ship Wizard to complete the client order and generate a purchase order for the merchandise. The Client Order Processing (COP) invoice for this order will then help keep track of the client-ordered item until the purchase order is vouchered.

Version 6.1 of SAM Pro Enterprise will be implemented throughout Data-Basics' customers during the next few months and is available to new clients.
