UltiPro Customers Reduce Technical Support Requirements with Intersourcing
WESTON, Fla., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --Ultimate Software (Nasdaq: ULTI - News), a leading provider of Web-based payroll and workforce management solutions, announced today that its customers Catholic Charities of Buffalo and The Menninger Clinic are leveraging Intersourcing to alleviate the responsibilities their current solutions place on their IT teams.
A nonprofit organization and single largest direct human service provider in western New York, Catholic Charities of Buffalo began using Ultimate Software's hosted service model, Intersourcing, in July 2004, having migrated from an in-house solution that required IT support. Because Ultimate Software assumes the IT responsibilities associated with UltiPro for its Intersourcing customers, Catholic Charities was able to redirect IT hardware and staff from maintenance of the HR/payroll solution to other important projects. As a philanthropy, the organization keeps administrative costs, including staffing, at a minimum. Intersourcing has aligned well with this practice and allowed Catholic Charities to automate its employee processes without devoting manpower to system upkeep, such as upgrades or backups. Having access to UltiPro from a Web browser is another benefit for Catholic Charities. According to Laurie Domiano, payroll supervisor for Catholic Charities, Intersourcing gives her department the convenience of addressing staffing issues online.

The Menninger Clinic, another Intersourcing customer, was in a different staffing situation before it started using UltiPro in April 2004. One of the top psychiatric hospitals in the United States, the facility had been using a service bureau, but it wanted the control and flexibility of an in-house solution without burdening its IT staff.
"They already had their plates full before UltiPro, so Intersourcing was a perfect choice for us.
