Drake Partners with Crown Financial Ministries to Develop Personal Budgeting Software

Franklin, N.C. (September 8, 2004) – Drake Software and Crown Financial Ministries have partnered to release the all new Money Matters 2005 personal budgeting and finance software, based on Larry Burkett’s popular “envelope budgeting” system. Released August 1, the Biblically-based software is available for purchase online at www.moneymatterssupport.com or www.crown.org, or it can be found it at Christian bookstores nationwide. The suggested retail price is $60.

Money Matters 2005 is designed to help individuals and families manage their income and expenses to reach a reasonable budget with Biblical principles in mind. It offers the capability to print checks, track investments, download bank statements, view reports and more. Financial advice is easily available, along with articles and frequently asked questions to help individuals make smarter decisions with their money.

The completely redesigned software was developed by Drake Software, and technical support for Money Matters 2005 (in addition to all previous versions of Money Matters) will be handled by Drake customer support representatives. Crown will continue to market and sell Money Matters through its existing channels to individuals and churches around the world.

Tax preparers interested in offering Money Matters 2005 to their clients may order two or more copies at wholesale price ($30 each). A Reseller Kit is available for $12.50 and includes 25 30-day trial versions (which typically sell for $1 each). For any of the 30-day trials that are activated by the end user, the reseller will be paid 50 percent of the activation fee (less any credit card charges). Basic marketing materials are also available to Money Matters 2005 resellers.
