Made2Manage Systems Adds Advanced User Support Programs

Support Are Designed to Take Experienced Users to Next Level

INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 13, 2003-- Made2Manage Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:MTMS - News), a leading provider of enterprise software for small and midsize manufacturers and distributors with revenues less than $250 million, today announced the debut of several new support initiatives and programs. Designed to help established Made2Manage users capitalize on the capabilities of their enterprise business systems, the company's new offerings include training courses for Advanced Users, Functional User Groups, and Premier Support Services.

"Throughout the late '90s, we experienced tremendous growth in the number of new users," said Todd Schulte, service product manager at Made2Manage Systems. "There has been a natural maturation of our user base. We've created these new service and support offerings to address the unique requirements of our experienced users."

A key part of the new support effort involves M2M University, the company's subscription-based, virtual education program. Through M2M University, advanced users have unlimited access to 14 new educational training courses, including Advanced Reconciliation Techniques, AR and AP for Advanced Users, and Reports for Reconciling Accounts. The courses are specifically designed to give the practiced user a deeper understanding of system features and functionality. By the end of 2003, the company's services and support team plans to expand the program's advanced course offering to 25 courses.

"Our goal has always been to help our customers succeed in improving their businesses by optimizing their business systems," said Dave Wortman, CEO of Made2Manage Systems. "One of the most mission-critical factors in this goal is continuing to improve the quality of our services and support, as well as provide resources that meet the ongoing needs of small and midsize manufacturers and distributors now and in the future."

Another new initiative designed to support Made2Manage Systems' veteran users is the launch of Functional User Groups, which aim to meet the unique interests and objectives of Made2Manage users across the entire manufacturing organization. These groups foster user-led discussions about how the Made2Manage® Enterprise Business System impacts specific job functions (e.g., CFO, scheduling manager, A/P clerk, production manager, etc.). While the groups are hosted by Made2Manage product experts, Made2Manage users spearhead the agenda, discussion topics and curriculum. "Given our past success with Regional User Groups, we feel that helping people with similar job types collaborate with one another can enhance the value of our customer service offerings," said Schulte.

In addition to the Advanced Studies Program and Functional User Groups, Made2Manage Systems also has added a high-level support service called Premier Support. Premier Support is designed to assist advanced customers that require a higher level of attention and visibility from the Made2Manage support staff.
