Geac Computer Corporation Limited: AMSI and Realty DataTrust Announce Strategic Partnership

Industry Leaders Team to Deliver eSite and PowerSite Customers with Real Time Apartment Pricing and Availability Technology

KISSIMMEE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 2002-- AMSI, the property management software division of Geac Computer Corporation Limited (TSX: GAC), today announced at the National Apartment Association trade show, a strategic partnership with Realty DataTrust (RDT). The alliance enables residential property owner/managers to quickly and easily provide real-time pricing and availability of their properties on their own web page or via Internet listing services.. RDT's patent pending VaultWare application runs seamlessly on the owner/manager's AMSI lease management system that feeds price and availability information to RDT servers via the Web. AMSI is the first to provide this technology free to the 13,000 owner/managers operating AMSI's eSite or PowerSite products.

Home Properties, among others, has been proactive in evaluating this technology. "Realty DataTrust and AMSI are providing a service that will allow us to better showcase our available inventory," said Nelson Leenhouts, president of Home Properties. "We are excited about the potential of this technology and its ability to help Home Properties provide timely availability and pricing data to our prospective on-line residents. We already have a call center that provides 24x7 phone and email service to prospective and current residents. This new technology will be a means of extending this type of coverage to our on-line prospective customers."

The prospective resident can choose an apartment from the owner/manager's web page, or that of an Internet listing service and then pre-screen themselves with the scoring model set up for that particular property. Scoring models from First American Registry and SafeRent are currently supported. After approval, the resident can reserve that specific apartment while the on-site associate of the property owner/manager is instantaneously notified. The associate then has the information needed to immediately contact the prospective resident and complete the application process.

Developed by industry leader and SpringStreet founder Mike Mueller, along with members of his original programming team, VaultWare scans the owner/manager's availability and pricing data, and, via either a high-speed broadband or dial-up connection, delivers this data to RDT on a daily basis. The potential resident is presented with the branded experience of the owner/manager's own web site, while allowing VaultWare to act as a 24x7 virtual leasing office. This gives the owner/manager the ability to more effectively manage pricing and meet the demands of today's Internet user for more accurate and timely information.

AMSI and Realty DataTrust are offering this service free to owners and managers of multifamily apartment communities. The companies are jointly demonstrating the solution at today's National Apartment Association trade show in booth #509. AMSI extends the benefits of eSite and PowerSite for its customers by providing its current users the ability to publish real-time availability and pricing driven from web sites already developed by the owner or manager, increasing the functionality of its current product releases while protecting the owners' investment in their branded web site. Realty DataTrust will charge the Internet listing services a nominal fee per property as owners demand that real-time, unit availability and pricing information be available for prospective renters.
