Deltek Previews Expanding Suite of Web-Based Enterprise Applications at International User Conference
MCLEAN, Va., March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Deltek(R) Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: DLTK). At Deltek's international user conference now underway at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas, over 1,100 clients are previewing the company's strategic product development initiatives and its expanding suite of Web-based applications. These presentations illustrate Deltek's progressive execution of its strategy to deliver the most feature-rich, technologically advanced and highly scaleable end-to-end solutions that professional services firms and project businesses require to leverage the power of the Internet while automating mission critical activities.
User conference attendees are getting an advance look the initial release of Deltek Costpoint 4 for the Web, Deltek's next generation, Internet-enabled back office automation solution for large project business with complex information and operational requirements. The application's technically advanced, Java-based, n-tier thin client architecture, which Deltek built using BEA System's WebLogic(R) Server technology, allows automated execution of remote back office functions using only a browser. The Web application also incorporates the client/server version's rich graphical user interface, minimizing remote user education, training and related travel costs.
Deltek is also showcasing the latest developments regarding the company's new Professional Services Automation (PSA) application suite that will deliver a completely new set of 100% Web-based "end-to-end" business applications within one integrated, browser-based solution. The application architecture, which is being built with Microsoft COM+ technology, will provide users with virtually unlimited access to information. It will also allow a much greater degree of control over essential business functions for everything from resource planning, scheduling and forecasting and client relationship management, to accounting and billing and employee time and expense collection as well as project e-business.
Other new product releases and enhancements Deltek is introducing at the conference include: * Deltek CRM and Deltek Proposals Version 4, the company's next generation, fully Web-based client relationship management and proposal automation software; * Interactive Voice Recognition technology for use with Deltek Time Collection, giving remote users added flexibility for entering hours via telephone; * Deltek Corporate Planner and Deltek Project Planner, robust business analytic tools for automating corporate and project planning, budgeting and forecasting activities, with advanced capabilities for analyzing multidimensional views of corporate and project performance on the fly; * Deltek Advantage Version 6, delivering streamlined Web-enabled financial and project control functionality and new interactive Web reporting tools; * Deltek Sema4, providing Web-enabled time entry and project financials analysis; * Deltek GCS Premier Version 2, automating cost accounting and Web reporting for small to medium-sized organizations doing project business with the federal government; * Web-based employee self service applications that, through integration with Deltek's back office systems, will provide employees with online access for managing personal data, benefits and payroll, and related transactions; and, * e-Procurement for online project and materials management activities, that, through integration with Deltek's back office systems, will provide sophisticated Web-based tools for doing requisitions and material estimating, and for managing related accounts payable and inventory information.
