Lake Shore Cryotronics, NorthStar Technologies and BioCrystal, Ltd. Choose PowerCerv e-Business, Enterprise Solutions
TAMPA, Fla. - PowerCerv Corporation (Nasdaq: PCRV) today announced that Lake Shore Cryotronics, Inc., NorthStar Technologies, Inc. and BioCrystal, Ltd. ? three Columbus, Ohio companies under common management ? have successfully implemented PowerCerv Integrated Enterprise Response. Integrated Enterprise Response is a comprehensive solution of integrated e-commerce, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications.
"Integration to our enterprise system was a pivotal requirement. That's why we chose PowerCerv Integrated Enterprise Response ? it is the complete solution we needed for CRM, ERP and e-business," said Karen Lint, vice president of operations for Lake Shore. "The entire system is developed, sold, supported and maintained by PowerCerv. For us that meant a quicker implementation and lower maintenance costs."
BioCrystal is now live on ERP Plus and the PowerCerv eSeries. NorthStar is live on ERP Plus and Lake Shore Cryotronics is concluding implementation of ERP Plus, and both companies intend to implement the eSeries by late second quarter 2001.
ERP Plus is a suite of CRM and ERP enterprise applications, and the eSeries is comprised of four distinct e-business applications ? eView, eOrder, eCRM and eDashboard. Together, ERP Plus and the eSeries enable these three companies to integrate e-business Web sites with enterprise-wide CRM and ERP solutions.
Steve Hoenig, vice president of sales and marketing for Lake Shore, said, "PowerCerv Integrated Enterprise Response creates an environment where a customer can place orders online, check their order status, check invoice status, track their shipments, and more. With the eSeries and ERP Plus, we have created a 24 x 7 self-service customer Web site and order entry tool.
"In addition to adding self-service functionality and convenience for our online customers, the eSeries provides valuable lead-capture information directly from our Web site," Hoenig said. "This allows us to be more responsive to prospective customers and partners."
For Lake Shore, NorthStar and BioCrystal, PowerCerv Integrated Enterprise Response provides Web-based lead capture capabilities, automated lead follow-up notification, marketing database creation and automated fulfillment response. For their online customers, Integrated Enterprise Response enables Web site visitors to place orders online, view inventory availability, check order status, track shipments, view invoice status, query account status and view online product catalogs.
Rick Stokes, IT director for all three companies, said, "PowerCerv was the only vendor that offered us a completely integrated e-business, CRM and ERP package.
