RETAIN ENTERPRISE - LARGE SCALE RESOURCE PLANNING

Retain Enterprise was launched in London, UK. A new edition of Retain designed for resource planning and scheduling for large multi-territory organizations.

The Retain Enterprise edition uses robust database platforms such as Oracle and SQL Server. This edition of Retain allows each office, group or site to view and share their planning data with the rest of the organization within a region or internationally.

Retain Enterprise allows multiple countries to work on the same database with the multi-currency and currency conversion functionality and the ability to define different work patterns.

Using the same familiar Retain user interface as the other editions of retain, Retain Enterprise uses the Retain Client/Server technologies and adds greater versatility and an extensive list of new features, including:

- Improved planning and performance across wide area networks (WANs).

- Improved database scalability for larger organizations.

- Connectivity with existing enterprise-wide database system.

- Multi-currency and exchange rates for international planning.

- Extended diary features, allowing multiple sets of standard hours and national holidays.

- Multiple colour palettes, allowing you to use colours in a number of different ways in one planning database.

- Extended charge rate features, allowing you to set up two rates, e.g. cost rate and revenue rate.

- Resource request management modules.

- Client, job, assignment and component hierarchy.

- Graphical reporting.

Retain Enterprise can also report across multiple databases, so it can be used in a large international environment where a single database is not a practical proposition. Comfortably handling thousands of resources, Retain Enterprise has the scalability to expand to provide resource planning solutions to the largest requirements.

Using a standard TCP/IP protocol to communicate between the client and server modules, retainenterprise can be used over almost any network, including a company intranet.
