Passport Software, Inc., developer of Passport Business Solutions announces the release of the Passport Business Solutions Enhancements for Pennsylvania’s Act 32 reporting, and New Jersey’s Family Lea
“Passport Software, Inc. now offers an enhancement to the Passport Business Solutions Payroll module to assist businesses in efficiently and accurately meeting the requirements of Pennsylvania’s Act 32 – Local Earned Income Tax for withholding and reporting taxes on earned income.
For our PBS users affected by Act 32, new reporting is provided including magnetic media reporting to satisfy the reporting requirements of Act 32”, says John Miller, President of Passport Software, Inc. “Also, for all New Jersey PBS Payroll users, Passport has provided a software enhancement that prints the Family Leave Insurance deduction separately from other state taxes on the 2011 W-2 forms, using the one-up, two to a page laser forms as required.”
“Over the last 2 years we have added features that safeguard the social security number as required by the State of Massachusetts, added the printing of company name, address and the employee's pay rates on the payroll check stub as required by the State of New York, as well as the federally mandated tax reporting changes. We have seen a trend in state and local government toward the creation of new revenue sources so we will continue to adapt Passport’s Payroll module to accommodate the evolving requirements of state and local government”, says Miller.
