Arrow ECS Introduces Net-New Market Penetration Program, Free Training Boot Camps for Oracle Resellers
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. [NYSE: ARW], launched a suite of resources for solution providers to help them capture net-new Oracle opportunities, as well as accelerated Oracle Exadata implementation training courses, as part of the recently launched Empower next-generation analytics program. Arrow ECS is a Platinum-level member in the Oracle PartnerNetwork.
The net-new market penetration program is available to select solution providers that are new to the Oracle PartnerNetwork or are looking to expand their Oracle practice into new geographies or markets. Qualified solution providers receive nine-month sales and marketing plans from Arrow, including marketing funding up to $20,000, as well as enablement support and business-planning resources. The program is designed to help solution providers ramp up sales at an accelerated rate, particularly around new solutions like the Oracle Database Appliance.
The accelerated Oracle Exadata courses are weeklong boot camps designed to cut in half the time typically spent completing implementation training requirements. Three of the six implementation courses required to qualify for Oracle Exadata Specialization are covered in each boot camp. One boot camp addresses Oracle Database 11g, Oracle Data Warehousing and Oracle Linux, while the other focuses on Oracle Real Application Clusters, Oracle Performance Tuning and Oracle Exadata. Proctored exams are included.
“The resources provided by Arrow’s Empower program are right in line with Oracle’s overall channel strategy for FY12,” said Jim Standard, group vice president, global channel sales, for Oracle. “Increasing the number of OPN Specialized solution providers and expanding sales into the broad market continue to be priorities. Arrow’s new initiatives are designed to achieve just that.”
Arrow waives all fees for solution providers participating in the boot camps, including the exam costs. In August, Arrow ECS helped 20 solution providers pass the Oracle Data Warehousing and Oracle Enterprise Linux implementation exams. Also, solution providers that completed the Arrow ECS training boot camp in September achieved a passing score in over 60 proctored exams spanning Oracle Real Application Clusters, Oracle Performance Tuning and Oracle Exadata. The next boot camp will be held October 24-28 in Englewood, Colo.
“The implementation boot camps are available through Arrow ECS,” said Tom Colleary, vice president of the North American Oracle group for Arrow ECS. “This training and our net-new market penetration resources underscore Arrow ECS’ commitment to helping our solution providers achieve sustainable growth in the broad market, and in turn maximize their profitability from Oracle’s Partner Incentive Program.”
