Arrow ECS Signs Agreement with Brocade for Sales of IP Networking Solutions to Untapped and Incremental Markets
ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. [NYSE: ARW], signed a North American agreement with Brocade to distribute Internet Protocol solutions to resellers that do not currently sell Brocade IP networking solutions or have previously purchased them directly from Brocade. Arrow ECS has distributed Brocade’s storage-area-network solutions in North America since 2006.
“The addition of Brocade’s IP networking solutions aligns with our strategy to help our resellers enable and benefit from data-center convergence,” said Sean Kerins, president of Arrow ECS in North America.
“Arrow ECS is pleased to expand our relationship with Brocade,” said Mike Nowlan, vice president of the North American security, virtualization and networking practices for Arrow ECS. “We view this agreement as a vote of confidence for the support we’ve provided to Brocade. It also speaks to Arrow ECS’ ability to help our suppliers increase market share through the enablement and support of incremental new resellers to Brocade.”
Through this expanded agreement, Arrow ECS will distribute Brocade’s IP networking solutions to resellers that are not currently procuring this product portfolio through another distributor. Arrow ECS will provide intensive training, sales and marketing support to assist resellers with identifying customers seeking end-to-end networking solutions and with selling Brocade IP solutions into new markets.
