Lawson Announces Latest Version of Cloverleaf® Interoperability Software for Healthcare Organizations

Latest Version of Cloverleaf Integration Services from Healthvision, a Lawson company, Helps Enhance Data Sharing among Multiple Healthcare IT Systems and Supports “Meaningful Use” Initiatives

SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lawson Software (Nasdaq:LWSN - News) today announced the general availability of Cloverleaf Integration Services for healthcare organizations needing to manage the critical exchange of health information data inside and outside of their organization. Cloverleaf version 5.8 from Healthvision, a Lawson company, is designed to enable Integrated Delivery Networks and other healthcare organizations to exchange data across their organizations and with affiliated locations and medical offices. This helps deliver value associated with the deployment of health information exchanges. The new version became generally available April 23. The company made the announcement during the annual Lawson Conference and User Exchange (CUE), which opened yesterday in San Antonio, Texas.

The latest version of Cloverleaf Integration Services is designed to serve as the cornerstone of a health organization’s interoperability and information exchange strategy. Cloverleaf supports the exchange of enterprise data in and between healthcare organizations, providing further support to organizations that are taking steps toward “meaningful use” of data exchange. Meaningful use is a key element of healthcare reform and federal funding prospects at the national level.

Cloverleaf 5.8 provides a number of enhancements and updates to the existing Cloverleaf platform, including:

•Enhanced message routing, which provides tools to help healthcare organizations manage complexities associated with the myriad forms of data found within their enterprise. This latest version includes an intuitive set of tools to help Cloverleaf users efficiently route more data to more endpoints, without the need for more complex configuration of systems.
•Enhanced translation processing, which enables healthcare organizations to optimize the processing power in existing hardware resources to promote a more accurate flow of data across disparate formats, programming languages and systems.
•Enhanced web services application interface (API), which helps Lawson customers, partners and developers access certain internal Cloverleaf functions. This gives them the capability to build some of their own utilities on top of Cloverleaf web services and take greater advantage of the functionalities of the Cloverleaf Integration platform.

With the new version of Cloverleaf, Lawson is also offering a new add-on module, Cloverleaf Message Warehouse, which allows healthcare organizations to send a copy or archive a copy of every message routed through its various systems into a centralized data repository. From a clinical perspective, this provides a more cohesive environment for clinicians, administrators and financial professionals to access the data they need when they need it.

“Efficient and accurate exchange of data is a critical business challenge for our healthcare customers,” said Jim Catalino, general manager for Lawson Healthcare. “With increasing pressure for healthcare efficiency and the need for healthcare organizations to be able to demonstrate meaningful use of healthcare data exchange, the new version of Cloverleaf will help our customers improve how data flows throughout the clinical and non-clinical systems that are crucial to quality patient care and efficiency across their health system.”
