Technology Group International (TGI), a leading ERP software solution provider to small and mid-market manufacturing and distribution companies, announced today the release of new software functionality, referred to as the Workbench Designer, as part of its Enterprise 21 ERP software.

Enterprise 21’s Workbench Designer allows Enterprise 21 users to create their own programs, inquiry screens, and graphical reports directly within Enterprise 21 without any modification to the application’s source code and without the need for programming experience. Screens and reports created using the Workbench Designer inherit all Enterprise 21 base functionality including system security, navigation, multi-language support, and query by example search functionality. Screens can even be setup to refresh automatically after a specified period of time, allowing users to view information such as manufacturing output or worker productivity throughout the workday in real-time.

In addition, the Workbench Designer includes a robust SQL Builder that supports the creation of complex SQL query statements. Bob Goldstine, TGI’s Vice President of New Technology, said of the new Enterprise 21 Workbench Designer, “The Workbench Designer, through its development, has become an incredibly powerful tool. Users can create their own screens quickly and easily without prior programming knowledge. We’ve even been able to reduce the application size of screens created using the Workbench Designer, so these screens run faster without sacrificing scope of functionality.”

The Enterprise 21 Workbench Designer will be included, at no additional cost, in all Enterprise 21 software licenses. Enterprise 21 7.1 is scheduled for release August 1, 2009.
