Journyx Certifies Meeting Safe Harbor Privacy Requirements

As a Safe Harbor Company, Journyx Provides the Utmost Data Protection to European Customers

AUSTIN, TEXAS (August 5, 2008) – Journyx – the first company to
provide Web-based time-tracking and project accounting solutions that
guide customers to per-person, per-project profitability – today
announces that it meets all Safe Harbor requirements with the U.S.
Department of Commerce. This certification means that Journyx
customers in Europe can be assured that their data is completely
private and protected.

Background on EU Directive 95/46/EC:

EU Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and European Council
regulates the processing of personal data and the free movement of
such data—both within the EU and between EU and non-EU countries. It
is acknowledged that the U.S. and the EU countries have some
differences in implementing data protection and privacy. The two
parties have agreed on a "Safe Harbor" framework that enables U.S.
companies to comply with the directive.

For Journyx to be certified as a Safe Harbor company means that it
adheres to the Safe Harbor framework developed by the Department of
Commerce in coordination with the European Commission. The Safe Harbor
provides guidance for U.S. organizations on how to provide "adequate
protection" for personal data from Europe as required by the European
Union's Directive on Data Protection. For Journyx to be on the Safe
Harbor list constitutes a representation to the Department of Commerce
and the public that it adheres to a privacy policy that meets the Safe
Harbor framework.

"All of our customers all over the world are very important to us and
we will do whatever it takes to ensure that all of their data is
completely safe and private," says Curt Finch, CEO, Journyx. "Taking
this extra step for our European customers demonstrates how much we
value them and their business."
