The problem with those floppy disks is that they have a high failure rate.  The other problem is that when you restore a backup with OWPW, it kills your existing database so when the restore fails, you are left with nothing.

You should be using several (at least 5) sets of backup disks.  Backup Monday on one set, Tuesday another set, etc.  That way if one fails, you have another set to try.

What you can try now is to make 10 folders on your hard drive (disk1, disk2, disk 3, etc.) and see if you can copy each disk to a folder.  If not, the disks are bad.  If you can copy them, try the restore from the hard drive, pointing the restore to disk1 folder instead of drive A.
