I am running Peachtree Complete Accounting 8.0 and there is a problem with reversing entries not posting. I am getting an out of balance error message when running the general ledger detail report, for any account that has a reversing entry posted to it. The reversing entries originally posted when closing each period and the G/L shows the correct balance as if the reversing entry was posted. Basically the G/L detail does not foot.
If I change the accounting period, go back and unpost the journal entries, uncheck the reversing box save, then go back in through edit and recheck the reversing box save, then post, the reversing entry reappears and the G/L foots.
The problem is the detail of the reversing entry from the last period of the previous (closed) year is not available.
I am wondering if anyone else has run into this problem.
